Metal Safety Razor with 10 Blades from EcoGirl

I LOVE my metal razor and Astra blades. I can’t believe it took me so long to make the switch. Although there is a learning curve, it’s pretty easy to get the hang of using it. What makes me so happy is how much money I save since the blades are super cheap, and I love that I’m not throwing away disposable razors all the time. Think of ALL the disposable razors and blades we’ve all used over the years!

From the website: A stainless steel razor is a perfect alternative and replacement to the plastic single-use razors. This razor comes with a set of 10 razor blades.

  • Stainless steel razor in a beautiful rose gold color
  • Completely plastic-free
  • Includes 10 complimentary blades
  • Lifetime guarantee
  • Packaged in simple, plastic-free, 100% non-bleached cardboard packaging
  • Shipped zero waste

It is estimated that 2 BILLION razors are added to landfills each year. That plastic can take 1,000 years to decompose, leaking pollutants into the surrounding soil and water. Luckily, this plastic-free safety razor never needs to be thrown away.

Modern-day razor cartridges are nearly impossible to recycle due to their small parts and multitude of materials.

This rose gold safety razor will accept any standard, double-edged blades. They are easy to replace and replacements start at just 19 cents per blade.

The price for this razor and 10 blades from Eco Girl Shop is such a good one, and it’s really pretty too!

Eco Girl Shop

I am so excited to have found this website! There are so many great creation-friendly products in one spot! I love the quote below from their website. Check out Eco Girl to start on the less-wasteful and creation kindness path or find new options at great prices!

From Eco Girl…”What Do I Have to Buy to be Eco-Friendly?

Nothing! Here’s the thing about living sustainably: you don’t have to buy anything. (Yep, we’re totally a store telling you that!) It is so important to remember that we can’t shop our way to a cleaner earth. *But* when it IS time to make a purchase, we can use our purchasing power to choose better, more ethical products — which encourages the good guys to keep producing them and others to follow in that direction.”

Travel Bamboo Cutlery Set

These travel cutlery sets make excellent gifts… for someone else and for yourself! I love having sets in my purse for on-the-go meals, school lunches, and restaurants that use plastic.

Nudi Goods

Packaging is often so wasteful, but stores are becoming creative with alternatives to plastic. I’m enjoying my Nudi Goods products and love their packaging! Check them out at https://www.nudigoods.com/.

HiBar Shampoo and Conditioner Bars (now also sold at Whole Foods)

Have you ever thought about all the plastic shampoo and conditioner bottles you throw away every year? Even if you recycle, not all plastics can be recycled. Here’s a great option for ditching the plastic hair product bottles that works wonderfully! Check out the options (all smell lovely) at the HiBar Website. I’m currently using the green shampoo bar and finishing up with the orange conditioner, since I used up the orange shampoo bar before the conditioner bar. I love my HiBars!

Little Seed Farm

I am a deodorant junkie. I’ve tried them all and am very picky and sensitive. One of my very favorite ones that actually works for me is from Little Seed Farm in Lebanon, TN. I love that this company is very creation-friendly and takes pride in the sustainable methods used! You can even find refill stations such as The Good Fill where you can take in your glass containers to refill with the deodorant. Check out Eco Girl for some Little Seed Farm products and so many other creation-friendly options.

My favorite is the grapefruit lemon. It smells so good and contains no baking soda for my sensitive pits!

Wisdom Supply Company School Supplies

Have you ever considered all the markers and plastic binders that are thrown away each year at the end of the school year? A friend shared a post with some school supplies from Wisdom Supply Co., and I knew I had to order some goodies. My favorite purchases have been the dry erase pencils (with the yellow highlighter coming in 2nd place). They write so smoothly on a dry erase board and easily erase. I also love the colored pencils that have the old-school peeling method to sharpen them. From binders to refillable pens and markers, this site has a cool mission with cool products! Check out Wisdom Supply Co.!

This is the description for the dry erase pencil markers – and I love them!

They work awesomely as both markers and dry-erase markers (yes really)

Smoother and chunkier than a color pencil.

Turns into watercolors (on paper) if you go over the lines with a a paintbrush/water.

Great for making posters – Absurd to make forever lasting waste for POSTERS (or anything for that matter).

They write on dry-erase boards beautifully and wipe off easily with a damp cloth.

If your student/child is asked to use dry-erase markers at school, these win hands-down.

No gross chemical smell

They don’t dry out (no caps to leave off)

The Tiny Little Bungalow Shop

Do you get tired of buying dish sponges made of plastic that don’t even last or work well? I love my bamboo scrubber! It works so well and never stinks, which is super important for someone like me who has a sensitive nose. Check it out as well as lots of other amazing creation friendly products at the Tiny Yellow Bungalow. (affiliate links)
